[It's no fish bag, but when you return to your trailer after the karaoke party to sleep, you'll stumble upon a jaunty plastic skeleton placed lovingly beneath your sheets. You may not notice its presence until you're already in bed with it.

[Stumble upon? More like falls upon. Spyro has just leaped up into his top bunk for a good nights sleep after declaring to the room at large that he is "bushed", when first thing he feels is that he has hit upon something hard wedged under the covers.

He kind of just. Freezes up, stuck in a landing pose, crouched over the obstruction.]

Hey Kerubim? Does your bed feel a little bit... I dunno, hard and lumpy?

[Kerubim had more of less draped himself face first over the top of his comforter and hadn't planned on moving until tomorrow afternoon. He was exhausted and had certainly had a few too many drinks for this line of questioning. Who cared how lumpy the mattress was.

But he obligingly threw out an arm and started patting the bed. There was a confused pause accompanied by the sound of sheets being thrown back.]

ECAFLIP'S TAIL!

[With a loud and graceless thud, Kerubim scrambled off his bed to reappear in the doorway, staring at his bed like he was still trying to make sense of what he was seeing. Then he remembered Spyro watching him from above.

He coughed, as nonchalantly as possible.]

Well, that lump in your bed is likely a skeleton.

A what?

[Spyro whips his head towards the lump and jumps up like a startled cat. NOT BECAUSE HE'S SCARED, or anything like that, OBVIOUSLY, he's just. surprised.

Eyes narrowing, he grabs the sheets in his jaws and yanks back with one swift jerk, exposing the skellyman within. WELL DAMN. Sure enough, there it is. Spyro's not afraid of skeletons on principle but, why is it here...?]

Puh! [The blankets are spat out to one side, draping over the railing of the top bunk. He leans in for a closer look at the bones.]

...Hey, this thing is made of plastic!

What is plastic?

[ Kerubim walked back over to his bed, reaching out to pick up one of the skeleton arms. Definitely fake. He may not know what plastic was specifically, but he'd handled enough bones to tell the difference now that the shock had worn off.]

Why would someone put fake skeletons in the beds? Are they trying to intimidate us? That would work much better if they were real.

[Spyro settles back on his haunches, frowning at the rickety halloween decoration sprawled across his bunk. The tip of his tail twitches thoughtfully.]

I think this is just someone's idea of a prank, dude. Somebody's trying to freak us out because we're newbies or whatever.

What's the point of pulling a prank on someone if you aren't around to witness the results for yourself?

[He dragged the skeleton off his bed, tossing it into the corner where it fell clattering into a misshapen heap of bones.]

Beats me. Guess whoever did it just isn't a very good prankster.

[Likewise, Spryo kicks his over the edge of his bunk. It thumps down on the floor right next to Kerubim's bed.]

Anyway, I'm beat. Skeleton mysteries can wait until the morning.

Hmm.

[Kerubim looks down at the skeleton now laying at his feet. Did he care enough to move it now so he wouldn't trip over it in the morning?

No.
Not really.]

Right. Tomorrow we'll find out who the culprit is, and then show them a- [he was interrupted by a yawn] a truly great prank.

[Spyro is already sprawled out over his bed with his head down on his front paws. His dragonfly is down for the count too, nestled between Spyro's horns. The little dragon mumbles sleepily:] Mm. Sounds good to me. Can you be a pal and hit the light?

[ Kerubim reached over to the wall and flicks the switch before jumping over the skeleton on the floor and collpasing in bed.The skeletons will have to wait.]
